I hate to tell them, but that is not a 427 Cobra Jet engine. That looks like a 400M, which actually a small block. Not a bad swap, but just not what the headline says.
Just as long that it is a 400M and not a 351M which have the same exact block but have 351C innards. They were made for "gas shortage" back in the day and considered better mpg. In actuality they were a boat anchor and useless unless transferred back into a 400M.
<img src="http://www.ladyoffice.com/new/images/rnnuy.jpg"/> i had the same thoughts but didn't dare to post until you mentioned it.. <img src="http://www.ladyoffice.com/new/images/omg.jpg"/>
It's a standard 429/460, not a 427 or Cobra Jet engine.
Looks like a great swap, but I agree with the Ford guy.
It was a typo (my sons car) its a 429cj. It had a 400 when we bought it.
Sorry guys it was a typo. It is a 429 cobra jet. I think I accidentally pushed 7 instead of the 9.
