Ohlins Suspension
Pretty sex bike and a great ride. I was pretty close to picking one up but ended up with 1198cc of V-twin sexiness spewing 195hp and 97lb-ft. with 30 lbs less than the RSV4, plus I already had a smaller Duc so a bigger one was a logical choice. Also is came down to replacement parts are availability of plastics. When I first got the bike it was really hard to find RSV4 track plastics, where the Panigale had several different chinese track plastics. If you ride hard at the track it isn't if you're going to go down but when and having cheap repair parts is a bonus.

I was very encouraged to find this site. I wanted to thank you for this special read. I definitely savored every little bit of it and I have you bookmarked to check out new stuff you post..
Wayyyyy better than Ducati
Have you ridden either Jester? I was fortunate enough to ride an RSV4 and Panigale S Tricolore at Reno Fernley and rode the Duc again at Buttonwillow. After my RC8 met a horrible demise at the track, I needed a new toy. I was tempted to buy an RSV4 but it was a tossup between that and Panigale S for quite a bit more money. Well, there's a 195hp and 97lb-ft 1198cc(even though it's called 1199, it's really 1198cc) pretty red machine sitting in my garage. I put on her D211s last night and have her sitting in the truck at work right now ready for some action in the morning. I preferred the smoothness of a vtwin and love the feel and sound of it. Also the duc is lighter, more powerful, and oddly enough replacement parts like track plastics and such are dirt cheap compare to Aprilla. I guess people have their opinions, but I hope yours isn't from a magazine.
"Jesters dead.. Yew haw!"
it's not just the HP when it comes to the RSV4, it's also one of the best handling bikes out there with the ability to make usable HP from the V-4 engine!!
And of course Max won the WSB Championship. Surprised no one mentioned that.
