In: Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Lexus, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Whaddya think?
These are some of the contenders for Motor Trend’s Best Driver’s Car of 2011. Which would you pick?
1. mustang ccause it fast agile and not costly to maintain compared to the foreign jobs
2 the vette more expensive then the mustang but lil more powerful and better handling
3 the porsche cause it is a porsche
You would pick a Mustang as number 1?!!! No imagination!
are you serious? you would pick the mustang and the vette when there is an LFA and R8 on the list? wow
1. Redneck with no money
2. Redneck with a little more money
3. Porsche owners wouldnt want you owning a Porsche if you had Mustangs and Vettes on the list.
LFA no doubt about it
SLS AMG or ZR1
no question: #9
I'll take the Z06….make mine white with the Z07 and carbon packages. B)
I'm with Mike on this one.
Why not just go with the ZR-1?
Because the ZR1 is not an option here. It is not pictured. Besides, the Z06 is easier to handle for those who aren't professionals and is just about as fast on everything minus the straight away.
This is tough. "Driver's Car" doesn't mean the fastest. It doesn't the softest. It means you can feel the road, the thrill of driving 55 or 155. Overall… it's about the joy of the drive.
That being said, I think the SLS and 1M take it for me. You can't go wrong with any of them. I really want to give the nod to the track demon GT3 RS or the American bred Z06 but drive an hour or two in either and you'll be craving some level of comfort.
I'd say that most reviewers classify a driver's car as a no-nonsence machines, without excessive comfort or electronics like the ZR1,Noble M600,GT3 RS,Koenigsegg CCX. And personally I can't imagine something to be a driver's car without manual transmission.
Well if $$ isn't a factor then I'll take #3.
However #4 is what I really hope to have someday.
I vote for the Evora S.
-Amazing Lotus handling, despite having a soft livable suspension.
-Supercharged V6 taking it from 0-60 in under 4 seconds with an ECU retune.
-A head turner without costing a fortune (1/5th the price of the LF-A but just as good looking).
Gonna have to go with the Boss 302. ZR1 or R8 for second for me.
#9 GT3 RS. Perfection.
I'd choose the 1M and LFA. The R8 is a close second to those.
I agree, the 1m is just pure and the lfa’s technology makes it such a precise car.
R8, i would use it as my dd as well
GT3RS or the R8
SLS if it came with a stick instead of no-talent flappy paddles
i'dd go for the SLS, cause i' ve been in one and the acceleration and sound are awesome
oh and the doors
#4 or #22 Merica, fuck yeah
If I could only pick one and it was for free I'd get the LFA, sell it, and get the Boss 302, Z06, 1M and Cayman… then I'd buy a Ford Raptor.
I would still have around $60000 – $75000 left.
I'd get the LFA, sell it, my Elise and my house, and get the Evora S and a nicer house with a lower mortgage.
#7 all the way
If money was not an issue…I would pick out the Mustang, R8, Porsche, and the SLS.
If i had to Choose 1 of these 4…..Man…what a choice. More than likely i would go with the Boss Mustang (Lik2 a BOSS!)..I love America…and also our quality is looking better year after year these days. :-)
#24 you can't lose in a ZR1
M1 seems pretty exciting but out of all these my No1 choice would be the LFA #3..
#14 cause you can never have enough grip.
