My E39 M5 does not approve of them damn kids and their newfangled turbo crap. Back in its day, why, if you wanted horsepower, you went out and EARNED it, you didn't just bolt on some damn hairdryer.
I'm a fan of BMW, few cars drive as well. I can even get over the fact that M cars have forgotten their lightweight heritage and all they add is power now. Emissions standards are requiring auto makers to use turbos and superchargers to develop power, and BMW does this REALLY well. My N54 335i is a blast to drive and has no turbo lag. Once you've driven these modern turbo cars, you'll likely warm up to them, plus they are super tunable with a control box. (You can get an extra 100+hp out of the 335 for less than a $1,000).
I like the overall style of the new M5, except for that fender "vent". Look at the fender vent on the Ford Taurus and then look at the M5. WTF?!?
